Rumors: Will Fawad Khan replace Sunil Shetty in "Dhadkan" remake?
After his rocking performance in Kapoor & Sons, Fawad Khan’s market value has skyrocketed, fuelling rumors that he may replace veteran actor Sunil Shetty in an upcoming of the latter's hit Dhadkan.
After announcement of Fawad's casted is Karan Johar’s star-filled Ey Dil Hai Mushkil, there are now rumors that the makers of Dhadkan, a super hit in the early 2000’s, are planning to cast Fawad in remake of the film. The lead role in Dharkan was previously played by Sunil Shetty, now a Bollywood icon.
The remake is to be directed by Prem Soni, the famous director of Main or Mrs Khanna and Ishq in Paris.
However, Soni negates such rumors. Speaking to media, he said: “I have not yet approved any actor to lead in the Dhadkan remake. I would have been glad to reveal details if there was such a plan.”
Ritesh Jen of Venus Films adds: “I don’t know why such kind of reports have come out.”
