VIDEO: Two Muslims forced into humiliating acts by Hindu mob become latest victims of beef politics in India
NEW DELHI: Two Muslims were recently forced to eat cow dung and drink urine by a Hindu mob for allegedly transporting beef illegally from Mewat to Dehli, Indian media reported on Wednesday. The horrific incident was recorded in a video which is now doing the rounds on social media.

According to the Indian Express, the video shows Hindu extremists of the Gau Rakshak Dal (Cow Protection Movement) forcing Rizwan and Mukhtiar to eat a concoction of cow dung, cow urine, milk, curd and ghee. The video was recorded almost a fortnight ago.

Dharmendra Yadav, president of the Hindu extremist organisation, Gurgaon Gau Rakshak Dal, admitted that they had forced the suspected to eat “panchgavya” (cow dung concoction) on June 10. "Acting on a tip-off, our volunteers intercepted a vehicle carrying 700 kg of beef on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway," he added.

“We had to chase the car for 7 km before we finally managed to stop them near the Badarpur border,” Yadav said.

He has no idea who shot the video.

"We made them eat the panchgavya to teach them a lesson, and also to purify them,” he explained.

Muslims and other minorities in India have been suffering under a growing wave of intolerance in India.

The controversial issue of slaughtering cows, which are considered sacred in India, and eating beef, an act banned in many Indian states, in particular, has come to a head in recent months, leading to an increase in Hindu mob driven violence against Muslims in the country. Only a few months ago, a mob killed an old man for allegedly storing beef in his fridge. Tests later revealed that the man had actually stored beef in his fridge.
