Gen Bajwa lauds security agencies performance, says Balochistan is my prime focus
QUETTA - Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday reiterated his support for Balochistan and said the province was his prime focus, said a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The army chief was apprised that there has been a phenomenal reduction in sectarian killing, while terrorists in desperation were now targeting law enforcement agencies and other soft targets.

“Balochistan is my prime focus and prosperity of people in Balochistan at par with other provinces is the main objective," COAS said during his visit to the Quetta Garrison.

He also visited the Southern Command headquarters and Frontier Constabulary Balochistan (North) headquarters.

Gen Bajwa appreciated achievements of Army, FC, police, intelligence and other agencies including provincial administration towards improvement of the security situation.

He hailed efforts in socio-economic domain and the considerable willing surrender of Baloch militants in the province.

Later, Gen Bajwa interacted with officers and soldiers and appreciated their morale and motivation. He said that the army is for the people of Pakistan and shall continue to perform their duty with their full support.

Gen Bajwa was received by Commander Southern Command Lt. General Aamer Riaz upon his arrival in Quetta.

Rupee exchange rate to US Dollar, Euro, Pound, Dirham, and Riyal - 18 April 2024

Pakistani currency continues to gain against US Dollar and other currencies on April 18, 2024. US dollar was being quoted at 277.2 for buying and 280.3 for selling.

Euro comes down to 293 for buying and 296 for selling while British Pound stands at 342.25 for buying, and 345.65 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75.25 and Saudi Riyal's new rates was at 73.30.
