Bushra Maneka emerges victorious in first intra-PTI political bout

ISLAMABAD - Bushra Maneka, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan, successfully cajoled the disenchanted members of the party in her first political settlement, over the award of party tickets.

Bushra Maneka, the spiritual mentor-turned-wife of PTI chief managed to persuade the disgruntled women workers of the party on Friday to call off their protest staged outside the Zaman Park residence in Lahore.

In a meeting with the protesting workers, Ms Maneka asked them to end their differences and jointly work for PTI’s campaign for the fierce electoral battle.

After the negotiations, the disgruntled Lahore-based members of the party called off their protest and vowed to make all-out efforts for making Imran Khan, the next prime minister of the country.

One of the protesters, Dr Zarqa Taimur, expressed that they had come to the residence for seeking blessings of Maneka, owing to her religious background.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had earlier announced that Imran Khan's third wife would not be under the spotlight as she would not be having any political role, though Maneka's negotiation skills surprised the top guns of the party.
