LAHORE – The provincial governments of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have announced to extend winter vacations until January 6 in all public institutions.

Punjab Education Minister Murad Ras confirmed Monday that schools will remain closed due to the lingering impact of winter and foggy weather conditions persisting in plains across the province.

Meanwhile KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan also increased the duration of vacations, with schools reopening on January 7.

Earlier, the institutions in both the provinces were scheduled to be closed till January 3, 2019.
