ISLAMABAD – Ministry of Commerce is working to formulate a national e-commerce policy framework to promote and encourage digital trade in the country.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry, the parameters of the framework include enactment of the national law on consumer protection, privacy and data protection.

He said in order to formulate the policy framework, several workshops and meetings of the working groups have been held to share proposals with stakeholders.

He said recommendations of the working groups would form the basis for national e-commerce policy.
