Death toll in Karachi heatwave mounts to 1094

KARACHI (Web Desk) – About 35 more people lost their lives on Saturday at various hospitals across the metropolis, taking the total death toll to 1094.

 

According to the spokesman at the Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) Dr Javed Jamali, nine patients died at the hospital since last night, taking the total deaths the hospital to 338.

 

Moreover, nine more patients lost their lives at different hospital of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) taking the total toll to 222, while 14 more patients died at the Civil Hospital taking the total death toll to 138.

 

Meanwhile, one patient died at the Liaquat National Hospital, raising the number of total deaths from the heat wave to 1,094.
