ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Chinese President Xi Jinping will arrive in Islamabad on a two-day tour on April 9 (Thursday), said media reports.

The Chinese president will inaugurate Gwadar Port Project and Pak-China Economic Corridor during his visit whereas a number of MoUs will also be signed on the occasion.

Xi Jinping will also hold meetings with Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, COAS General Raheel Sharif and other key political leaders.

A high-level delegation would be accompanying the Chinese president to Pakistan and will hold a bilateral strategic dialogue with Pakistani officials.

Earlier, the Chinese president was scheduled to arrive in Pakistan in September last year, but the tour was cancelled due to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf sit-ins in Islamabad.
