GHQ huddle stresses Afghanistan to introspect instead of blaming Pakistan
RAWALPINDI - A special Corps Commanders' Conference was held at General Headquarters Tuesday during which the top military leadership called on Afghanistan to look inward and identify the real issues instead of blaming Pakistan.

According to a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the forum expressed its solidarity with the people and security forces of Afghanistan in the backdrop of recent terrorist incidents that jolted Kabul.

The statement added that while expressing their support for the Afghan people, the corps commanders also expressed serious reservations to 'the unwarranted accusations and threats' directed at Pakistan in the aftermath of the Kabul bombing.

Military's media wing said that the forum reiterated Army's resolve to "defend the motherland against all types of threat."

Kabul Diplomatic Quarter Havoc

At least 150 people were killed and more than 300 were left wounded on Thursday when a massive truck bomb ripped through Kabul's diplomatic quarter, wreaking havoc in war-torn capital.

It was not immediately clear what the target was but the attack raised eyebrows of law enforcers to beef up the security during the holy month.
