KARACHI – The blaze, which erupted at a cloth godown in Karachi on Monday evening, has not been brought under control despite six hours of efforts, according to media reports.

The blaze erupted in the M M Godown located at Zia Colony turnabout in SITE area at around 2:30pm.

According to Dawn News, fire department official said “Initially, only a few fire tenders were sent to control the blaze. Later on, realising the gravity of the situation, fire tenders from different fire stations in the metropolis were called in.”

However, the flames are still raging inside the godown despite ten fire tenders striving to douse the blaze.

Two fire tenders each from Karachi Port Trust and Pakistan Navy are also busy in putting out the fire.
