Military leadership for expediting NAP implementation through Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad
RAWALPINDI - The top military officials has observed that National Action Plan (NAP) need to be expedited jointly by respective stake holders through implementation of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad for lasting peace and stability in the country, the ISPR stated.

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa presided over 200th Corps Commanders’ Conference held at GHQ on Thursday. The forum reviewed geo-strategic and security environment with special focus on internal security, Pak-Afghan border situation and Indian cease fire violations along Line of Control/working boundary.

The Army chief also apprised the participants about his visits to UAE and other law enforcement agencies for effective response t recent terrorist incidents and security arrangements for PSL final at Lahore.

Forum discussed Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad in details. The COAS said that operation was comprehensive across the board operation against terrorists and terrorism and not against any particular race, sect or group. The conference also acknowledged participation and support by PAF and PN in ongoing operation.

The Army chief also informed the participants about discussion during last security conference with government authorities which included phased fencing of Pak-Afghan border, repatriation of Afghan refugees, judicial, police and madrassa/educational institutions reforms and restarting execution of death sentences to terrorists awarded by the military courts.

Forum expressed its confidence on performance of military courts. However, decision for reinstatement of military courts rests with the government. Dawn leak issue was also discussed.

The Army also reviewed Pakistan Army’s support in conducting sixth Housing and Population Census 2017. COAS said that Army shall undertake this task as a national service.

Forum concluded that hostile agencies were trying to undo Pakistan’s gains in security and development especially CPEC, besides pledging that their design will be defeated through whole of the nation approach.

The forum reiterated resolve of Pak Army to play its due role towards defence and security of the motherland. Sacrifices made by resilient people of Pakistan and its brave security forces shall not go waste.

PKR rate against US Dollar, Euro, Pound, Riyal - Check 16 April forex rates

Pakistani currency gains momentum against all currencies on April 16, 2024 Tuesday. US dollar was being quoted at 277.9 for buying and 280.85 for selling.

Euro was quoted at 295 for buying and 298 for selling while British Pound stands at 345 for buying, and 349 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75.4 and Saudi Riyal's new rates was at 73.30.
