NA-122: Result will remain the same, no matter what

LAHORE (Web Desk) - National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said on Sunday whether Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf [PTI] chief Imran Khan provides a DNA test for the NA-122 constituency or a CT scan, the result will stay the same.

“Even if Imran Khan sends the ballot to the CIA or FIA or NADRA, the outcome will be what it was originally”, remarked Sadiq while talking to the media in Lahore.

He said no matter what the PTI chief does, he [Sadiq] will still be successful, he insited.

The speaker explained that he was never involved in any act of rigging in the past, neither did he do any such thing during the 2013 general elections. He added that his intentions are crystal clear.

Earlier on March 4, the election tribunal hearing the NA-122 and PP-147 cases gave its reply to the PTI chief’s plea regarding voters’ thumb impressions.

The tribunal accepted Khan’s plea and directed NADRA to confirm the verification of thumb impression of voters.

In addition, the tribunal also ordered NADRA to verify the electoral record of all the ballot papers of candidates from the two constituencies.
