Pakistan Army to launch ‘Khushhal Balochistan’ initiative

RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday reached Quetta to attend a high level meeting regarding development in Balochistan.

Major Gen Asif Ghafoor, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations, in a tweet said that a project, Khuhhal Balochistan is being launched in the province.

 

He said that the initiative aimed at enduring stability in the province through socio-economic development and security.

Earlier this month, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi announced a ten-year equalisation development package for the province to bring all its cities and towns on a par with other developed areas of the country.

Abbas  had announced this package after presiding over a couple of meetings with regard to law and order situation in the province and the various development projects under way there.
