Pakistan briefs ambassadors on baseless Indian allegations over Pulwama attacks
ISLAMABAD - Pakistan summoned a couple of ambassadors from non-permanent members of United Nations Security Council on Saturday to clarify its position over the recent Pulwama attacks and the allegations directed towards it.

Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua met the ambassadors at the Foreign Office in Islamabad and apprised the envoys about a flurry of allegations hurled by India in the aftermath of Pulwama attacks that left 44 soldiers dead.

The official briefed the ambassadors that Indian allegations were unfounded, contradictory and based on unverified social media content which were not rooted in reality.

Janjua also pointed towards known tactics of India to divert global attention from gross human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

The foreign secretary also emphasized continued importance of implementing the resolutions of United Nations Security Council resolution on Kashmir.

India had alleged Pakistan of playing a part in the Pulwama attacks without any substantive proof in this regard.

Adil Ahmad Dar, a 20-year-old had claimed responsibility for the attack in a video, however, his Muslim origin has flared up Indians to assault Muslim community members in Kashmir and other parts of the country.

The attack is the worst in decades of insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir, India’s only Muslim majority state. Analysts claim that the attack might have been a false flag owing to the upcoming elections in India as anti-Pakistan sentiments are whipped up to garner support.

Pakistan has also strongly condemned the continuing attacks on Kashmiris in the aftermath of the Pulwama attack including Kashmiri students being systemically targeted in India as the state authorities stay complicit and inactive.
