Panama Case: SC sets up special section for monitoring JIT reports
ISLAMABAD - The Supreme Court on Thursday formed a special cell to oversee the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report over the Panama Leaks case probe.

The court appointed Additional Registrar Mohammad Ali as the coordinator who would be responsible for facilitating all communication between the JIT and the Supreme Court bench.

The JIT will submit interim reports to the special bench formed by CJP after every 15 days.

The special cell will start work from tomorrow (Wednesday).

According to media reports, the JIT would be constituted at the earliest, as Justice Ejaz Afzal, who is a main member of the SC bench, has returned from Turkey.

In its April 20 judgment, the apex court had ordered the formation of the JIT to probe offshore assets of the prime minister and his two sons.
