PTI reverts to Parliament after seven months
ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf  on Sunday announced an end to their boycott of Parliament after more than seven months since the party held a long march to Islamabad.

“We have decided that we will go to assemblies from tomorrow onwards and take part in the legislation,” the PTI chairman said, while addressing the media after the party’s executive committee meeting.

Imran said members of the National Assembly (MNAs), including him, are set to attend a joint session of Parliament on the Yemen crisis, scheduled for Monday.

He insisted the resignations submitted by the PTI parliamentarians were never accepted hence the have been members of the parliament ever since.

“The PTI will attend the joint session of Parliament tomorrow and I will give my stance regarding the Yemen issue.”

The decision came during PTI’s core committee meeting at party chairman Imran Khan’s residence in Bani Gala.

Imran, on the occasion, once again blamed MQM for terrorising the PTI activists in Karachi during the electioneering in NA-246. We have our lawyers ready in London and a case will be filed against MQM Chief Altaf Hussain if any of the workers is hurt now, he maintained.

He announced to visit any area of the port city on April 9 to put an end to the terror of MQM. "I will go to every area of Karachi where ever Imran Ismail takes me", he said.

PTI chief any how said  that he believes the year 2015 is election year. An independent judicial commission has been formed to investigate the rigging allegations and soon the real culprits will stand found out, he added.

Rupee exchange rate to US Dollar, Euro, Pound, Dirham, and Riyal - 18 April 2024

Pakistani currency continues to gain against US Dollar and other currencies on April 18, 2024. US dollar was being quoted at 277.2 for buying and 280.3 for selling.

Euro comes down to 293 for buying and 296 for selling while British Pound stands at 342.25 for buying, and 345.65 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75.25 and Saudi Riyal's new rates was at 73.30.
