NEW YORK (Web Desk) – Warner Bros. Pictures says its action-adventure blockbuster Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice crossed the $500 million milestone after only five days in theaters.
“We’re so proud that Batman v Superman has become the must-see event film of the season for fans the world over,” said Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, the studio’s president of worldwide distribution.
“These incredible numbers are building momentum for not only this movie, but for the upcoming slate of DC superhero films.”
The domestic box-office total now stands at more than $193.3 million, and the international figure is $308.6 million, the UPI reported.
Helmed by Zack Snyder, the Man of Steel sequel stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, marking the first time the titular superheroes have appeared together on the big screen.
