British-Pakistani Authors Mohsin Hamid, Kamila Shamsie nominated for 'Man Booker Prize'
The 'Man Booker Prize', a literary prize awarded each year for the best original novel (written in English and published in the UK) is generally assured international renown and success.

The prize is of great significance for book sales.

This year, two British-Pakistani authors, Mohsin Hamid and Kamila Shamsie, have been nominated for the prize.


Hamid belongs to the city of Lahore, while Kamila belongs to Karachi.

Hamid received a lot of appreciation for his phenomenal books through numerous awards in the past years. His second novel, 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist', is an international best-seller.

Shamsie's outstanding work includes 'Kartography', her third novel, which became a hit world-wide.

Rupee exchange rate to US Dollar, Euro, Pound, Dirham, and Riyal - 18 April 2024

Pakistani currency continues to gain against US Dollar and other currencies on April 18, 2024. US dollar was being quoted at 277.2 for buying and 280.3 for selling.

Euro comes down to 293 for buying and 296 for selling while British Pound stands at 342.25 for buying, and 345.65 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75.25 and Saudi Riyal's new rates was at 73.30.
