Distinguished Pakistani actress Armeena Rana Khan has been nominated for the "Best Actress" in a film category at The Eastern Eye Arts, Culture, and Theatre Awards (ACTAs) for her essaying an exceptional role as Meena in Janaan. The award show is to be held in London, United Kingdom on Sunday, the 21st of May.



Janaan outshined amongst all Pakistani films after its highly anticipated release. Its huge success is due to Armeena's charming personality and her sought-after chemistry with the actor Bilal Ashraf playing lead. The flick became the first Pakistani film to bag one-day collections of over £56,000 in the UK.

Other nominations in the Best Actress category also include Sanam Saeed for Rahm, as well as British actress Indira Verma.

Created by the Asian Media and Marketing Group (AMG), publishers of Britain's popular fashion and lifestyle magazine 'Eastern Eye', the ACTAS are held in Britain in order to showcase South Asian talent in arts and culture.

Currently, the British-Pakistani actress Armeena Khan is all set to shoot for her latest project in an upcoming British action film, titled the Real Target.
