#DekhoMeriNazarSe: A captivating Journey Of Breaking The Shackles of Preconceptions Through Samsung’s Lens
LAHORE - Ramadan has come to an end and with it, this year we as a society were given many opportunities to ponder upon various issues that exist today. Brilliant campaigns with greater initiatives were brought to light that made us aware of everything that has been going around. Amidst all these, one campaign that actually has made an impact and left everyone one speechless was Samsung’s: #DekhoMeriNazarSe.

A trailblazing campaign that was based upon the initials of basic human rights urged everyone to step out of the circles of prejudice and biases that prevented us to see everyone as equal. It made us hopeful for a country that prevailed on basic equality with equivalent opportunities given to every individual without any exclusion. Celebrating the true spirit of the Holy month, Samsung collaborated with Rizq to provide food to hungry people and conquer the line of divide in our country. The #SamsungRizqMillionMealChallenge was aimed at providing 1 million meals to the less fortunate who do not have access to sufficient food.

With this powerful message and initiative Samsung brought together the entire nation to support this cause with full force. Not only did this campaign gain huge popularity with the media but also many local celebrities took notice of it and came forward to play their part. Being the most shared video this Ramadan, it has made the social media go into frenzy with names like: Mehwish Hayat, Imran Abbas, Ayesha Omar, Iqra Aziz, Anoushey Ashraf, Wahaj Ali and Ramsha Khan all pouring in their thoughts on this great movement.

This campaign has achieved the support of the whole Pakistani community in such a short time span that initially the campaign had targeted three metropolitan cities but due to the overwhelming response that Samsung has received it slowly become nationwide while covering up to 10 cities. Many individual donors, social enterprises, multinationals, restaurants and NGO’s also become a part of this huge movement thus the pledge Samsung made to the Pakistani nation was completed within 20 days in which they were able to cross a million.

While bidding farewell to Ramadan this year, we as a nation should now pledge to ourselves that we shall break free of the chain that have us bound with discrimination, prejudice, biases. See the world as one, #DekhoMeriNazarSe!
