Game of Thrones Season 6: Episode 5 uncovers two major mysteries (Warning: Spoilers)
LAHORE (Ali Zain) - This Sunday's Game of Thrones episode "The Door" resolved two major mysteries in the world's most watched TV show. Although one of the secrets was pretty unpleasant and other one was full of violence, still viewers have received answers to some of their questions.

The first major revelation was about the origins of the White Walkers, who were created by the children of the forest.  The secret was revealed to Bran Stark in a vision.

He saw that White Walkers being brought to life by the children of the forest after the First Men killed some of their own in a bid to take over the original inhabitants of Westeros.

The second discovery was about Hodor, also uncovered in one of Bran's visions and based on an incident from the past that mysteriously resulted in the White Walkers' attack on Bran and Meera. The attack ended in the death of Hodor while he was "holding the door" to let Bran and Meera escape the cave. Hodor means "hold the door".

Other Key Developments from Episode 5:

  • Little Finger comes back to Sansa Stark at Castle Black and offers her everything he can do to undo his betrayal of handing her over to the Bolton's. On the occasion, Lady Stark describes her marriage night with the Bolton bastard who raped her in front of Theon Greyjoy.

  • Jon Snow and Sansa Stark are preparing for a great war with Ramsay Bolton, for which they plan to call on the support of smaller families in the North, who once supported their father Ned Stark.

  • In the Iron Islands, Yara Grejoy tries to take over her father's throne with the support of her brother Theon Greyjoy. But at the very moment, her uncle appears and confronts her with humiliation. He also confesses that he is the murderer of her father. Finally, he is sworn in as the ruler of Iron Islands, but till then Yara and her navy have successfully escaped his territory.

  • Arya Stark is still struggling to become No One. The faceless god keeps giving her tips and subjects her to some new tests as well.

  • In Meereen, Tyrion Lannister is trying improve situation in the city. Meanwhile, he is approached by the priests of the Lord of Light. A lady in a red gown, quite similar to Melisandre, knows some key secrets of Tyrion Lannister and Vayrs, the master of whisperers. On the other hand, Queen Daenerys Targaryen is travelling back to Meereen with a huge army of Dothrakhis.

  • In the cave of three-eyed raven, the White Walkers have destroyed the human body of three-eyed raven and have killed Hodor and Bran's direwolf Summer. This pushes Meera to flee the cave carrying Bran Stark on a carriage.

Rupee exchange rate to US Dollar, Euro, Pound, Dirham, and Riyal - 18 April 2024

Pakistani currency continues to gain against US Dollar and other currencies on April 18, 2024. US dollar was being quoted at 277.2 for buying and 280.3 for selling.

Euro comes down to 293 for buying and 296 for selling while British Pound stands at 342.25 for buying, and 345.65 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75.25 and Saudi Riyal's new rates was at 73.30.
