Hafiz Hamdullah 'exposes' Interior Ministry's love affair with Ayyan Ali

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Senator Hamdullah has accused the interior ministry of having a "love affair" with model Ayyan Ali.

Hafiz Hamdullah made headlines for his on-camera verbal fight with journalist and rights activist Marvi Sirmed earlier this week.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) Senator Hamdullah seemed at a loss to understand as to why authorities were not willing to let the diva off the hook.

“I feel the interior ministry has fallen in love with Ayyan Ali…but it seems to be an unrequited love,” he said while talking to a private news channel.

Hamdullah said the interior ministry should differentiate between a requited and an unrequited love.

Super model Ayyan Ali was barred from travelling on 15 June despite Sindh High Court (SHC) orders for removal of her name from ECL.

Customs authorities had arrested Ayan Ali in March last year on charges of money laundering after officials recovered $506,000 from her luggage at Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport.
