LAHORE (Staff Report): “My father gave me the name Malala, but he didn’t make me Malala,” said the 18-year-old Nobel Laureate with great poise in the trailer of the upcoming documentary movie made on her life.
“He named me Malala” focuses on the journey of Malala Yousafzai from a small town girl in Swat to global champion of children and girl rights.
Named after the Afghan female warrior who died in a battle fighting for her homeland, the documentary explores how Malala was already destined to do great things in her life.
Directed by an acclaimed documentary maker, Davis Guggenheim, the movie is set to open in theaters on October 2.
