'Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2' cast NOT to star this actor, and here's why!

The Pakistani blockbuster Jawani Phir Nahi Ani was ranked amongst the top grossing movies in the country after Waar. The lighthearted, fun-filled romantic comedy embodied the true essence of revival movies and cinema in Pakistan, with families and crowds rushing in packs to witness the exciting and star-studded cast power playing on the big screen! The stellar cast included Humayun Saeed, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ayesha Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Sohail Ali Abro, Sarwat Gillani, Uzma Khan, Ahmed Ali Butt and Vasay Chaudhry amongst many others.

While movie-goers loved the movie, critics, on the other hand, lauded the flick for being the ultimate package of entertainment.



However, now with JPNA2 in the making, we can't help but notice one extremely dapper actor missing from the cast. Can you guess who this is?

In a recent interview with HSY on his show, the JPNA star Hamza Ali Abbasi, opened up about not being part and parcel of the upcoming sequel to the rib-tickling romcom. He also put an end to the rumors floating around town that hinted Hamza had chosen to exit the film because of an ongoing rift between him and lead actor, producer Humayun Saeed.



Here's what he had to say:

“It was a mutual decision, we’re all friends and there are no issues between myself and Humayun!”

Hamza Ali Abbasi chose not to continue with JPNA2 because:

"I don’t agree with the genre of it and won’t be doing it."

Although he certainly will be giving a cameo performance in the movie in order to show connectivity in a scene which introduces Fahad Mustafa instead of Hamza himself in the film.

While earlier, the prequel was shot in the exotic locations of Thailand, this time the rom-com will rope in an exciting adventure tale in South Africa.
