Judge declares Bill Cosby a sexually violent predator

81 year old comic Bill Cosby also known as America’s Dad got the first step of his sentence. He was accused of drugging and molesting women in his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004. He will appear in sex offender register after Judge Steven O’Neil made the decision on Tuesday. This means Cosby will have to undergo lifetime counseling and reporting quarterly to the authorities.

After his name will be entered in the register his name will be given to neighbors, schools and victims. He will be facing anywhere from probation to 10 years in prison after being convicted in April. Prosecutors asked on Monday to lessen the sentence to 5 to 10 years punishment as he is old , legally blind and helpless to do time in jail, making it a house arrest.

When the verdict came a woman in the crowd shot her fist into the air whispering ‘Yessss’. This sure is a victory not only for victims but is a clear message for all the predators out there that they won’t get away from such acts without a punishment. #Metoo movement has helped people in many ways and this is one of them.
