Kareena Kapoor backs Aamir Khan’s intolerance statement
NEW DELHI (Web Desk) –Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has come out in defence of co-star Aamir Khan on his intolerance statement.
Kareena’s statement backing Aamir Khan comes at time when the Bollywood actor is facing severe criticism from various quarters over his remark that his wife Kiran Rao had suggested that they should move out of the country in the wake of recent happenings.
“I don’t think Aamir said anything wrong. He just addressed a fear. It was a conversation with his wife that he was talking about. I don’t think he meant anything damaging by it. Of course, 500,000 opinions followed and as many clarifications were issued,” said Kareena Kapoor.
Kareena said that no one can doubt Aamir’s patriotism towards India, Indian media reported.
Earlier, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had also supported Bollywood actor Aamir Khan on his statements on intolerance, stating that the BJP-led government should not "bully or threaten" people who question it.
