Movie Review: 'Na band Na baraati' is an artistic mixture of romance and comedy

The movie was released on 16 June 2018 and we must say the cast have done a brilliant job throughout the film. The movie revolves around an overseas Pakistani family settled in Canada. It is also an amazing part of the movie, as for the first time in the history of Pakistani showbiz any movie is being completely shot in a foreign country.

Na Band Na Baraati is a family comedy film directed by Mahmood Akhtar and produced by Farooqi under the banner of Zaskhko Entertainment. The story is penned by Harish Kumar Patel.

The movie  had a strong cast, with legendary actors like Qavi Khan, Azra Mohyeddin and veteran actress Atiqa Odho showing their great artistic skills and having proved themselves as the evergreen actors of Pakistan.

Heartthrob Mikaal Zulfiqar was seen as the lead actor in the movie. Ali Kazmi has also played a supporting role to add comedy in the movie. The female leads included Nayab Khan and Komal Farooqui and both beautiful ladies did a great job. We are also impressed by Shayan Khan, who can be seen equally comfortable in the comedic and emotional scenes with the lead roles.

Shayan Khan, Nayab Khan, Anzelikah Tahir and Mikaal Zulfiqar

NBNB story revolves around two brothers played by Shayan Khan and Mikaal Zulfiqar. Both brothers are involved with their respective girlfriends but one day things change as Mikaal Zulfiqar accidentally signs Shayan's marriage papers, and Shayan’s girlfriend Anjhelika ends up as Mikaal's official wife. What happens after that is what makes Na Band Na Baraati a comedy filled movie. Ali Kazmi is shown in love with Anjhelika but her father Mehmood Akhtar doesn’t like him. Qavi Khan as the father of both the heroes is seen doing mischievous attempts to make a family life. So, the movie revolves around the confusion between a desi family and how they end up in a wedding for their two sons in Toronto.
