The rapping duo of Ali Sethi and Pakistani-British actor/singer Riz Ahmed from ‘Swet Shop Boys’ has just released a ‘Qawwali style’ Hip-hop/rap music video. Their tribute to late Qandeel Baloch is taking the internet by storm. Riz Ahmed has also starred in ‘The NIGHT OF’ by HBO.
This video garnered so much attention by Indian and Pakistani communities immensely because the novelty in video aims to bridge the gaps between both.
Characterised by bold and “slangy” lyrics the song includes a sound byte from one of Qandeel’s videos towards the end in her honor.
The video has been shot in Queens and Coney island, Brooklyn and has been getting some attention on Twitter as well, Here are some of the reactions from social media.
