Is Kareen Kapoor doing a Pakistani film? Shoaib Mansoor speaks up

KARACHI (Staff Report) - While there have been a lot of rumors that Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan is going to sign a movie with Pakistani director Shoaib Mansoor and that she flew to Dubai last week to meet him, there is finally something concrete about this.

The media reports in this regard appear to be completely false as Shaoaib Mansoor has denied doing any film with the Indian actress.

"Kareena had written to me praising my films and expressed her wish to work with me, and that’s it. There is nothing concrete yet," he said in his first ever response to the reports.

Talking about any such venture in future Mansoor said, “I’d like that. I feel the predicament regarding religious bigotry is the same in both the countries. I feel Pakistan and India are casualties of wrong policies. I wish to address these issues through my films. It’s important to bring about an awakening in people, not that I feel cinema can change mindsets.”

He further added that he and Kareena both want to do something together, challenging the stereotypical beliefs of Pakistan and India.
