LAHORE - The Happieee Place (THP) is the first venture of Saeed Research Studio. It aims to be a space of positivity and solution. It is a platform to think, search, create and exhibit not just for adults but also for kids as we wish to equip them with practical skills and innovation from the very start. We encourage people from diverse fields such as medicine, arts, architecture, design, robotics, etc. to join us and help us make it an EVERYONE, all-inclusive kind of spot. We have four spaces that are active within THP wall i.e. THP Bindery which is Pakistan’s first bindery open to our community. We also have a dedicated space, THP Gallery, for exhibiting and curating works that give a unique perspective of the maker, are thought-provoking and meaningful, and which introduce new and forward thinking ideas to the Pakistani audience.
Set in the outdoors is our THP Book Shop, which we have created by integrating our trees as a fun way to shelve books! We have massive garden space where you can sit down and enjoy a book with a nice cup of karak chai from our THP Tiffin, or head to our exciting, hanging garden swing!
THP aims to launch local and international residencies in the near future. We hope to provide an open space with available resources to think and experiment, be it for artists, culinary chefs, writers and the likes. We believe such a chance would help them to further enhance and improve their work and passion. First on our list and important to us are local residencies to uncover hidden contemporary art and artists locally, and give that talent our space to nurture and improve. That will then be followed by international residencies for students or professionals who wish to get acquainted with contemporary Lahori culture and the art scene.
The Happieee Place will be arranging workshops every now and then. Bookmaking workshops for beginner, intermediate and advanced level are going to be a constant, but we also plan on introducing paper making, illustration workshops, photography workshops, photo walks and portfolio reviews.
