MUMBAI (Web Desk) – After almost a week’s stay at a private hospital, veteran actor Dilip Kumar was discharged on Thursday noon.
The legendary Indian actor was admitted to the hospital following respiratory problems and has now fully recovered.
Looking hale and hearty, Dilip Kumar wearing a light pink shirt was wheeled out of the hospital and was accompanied by wife Saira and other family members, the Indian Express reported.
Dilip Kumar’s wife, actress Saira Banu had earlier said that the actor was hospitalised as he was suffering from high fever, chest infection and respiratory problems.
Dr Jalil Parker told the media yesterday, “Dilip Kumar is doing well and he is healthy. His reports are normal. We have decided to discharge him tomorrow morning as opposed to today keeping in mind the patient’s comfort.”
The legendary actor, whose real name is Mohammad Yusuf Khan, acted in many superhit films during his six-decade long career such as “Madhumati”, “Devdas”, “Mughal-e-Azam”, “Ganga Jamuna”, “Ram Aur Shyam” and “Karma”.
He was last seen on-screen in the film “Qila” in 1998. He was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
