KARACHI (Web Desk) – Four suspected militants were killed during a shootout with police in Karachi on Wednesday.

According to police militants belong to banned outfit, Samaa TV reported.

Rao Anwar, a senior police officer, confirmed the encounter and death of four suspected militants.

Police launched search operation in Sachal area of Ghazi Goth, where members of banned TTP Swati group were hiding.

The suspects opened fire on the raiding police party, which retaliated, resulting in death of four militants.

“The militants were members of the Swati group of Taliban and wanted by police in more than 25 cases of terrorism and other heinous crimes,” Rao told SAMAA.

Two of the dead militants were identified as Amirullah Mehsud and Wali Khan alias Manu.
