Achievement Unlocked: Rats operate medical equipment in Mayo Hospital, Lahore

LAHORE (Web Desk) - Cutting against the Punjab government's claims about its reforms in governance and health, a new video broadcast on national television has shown the presence of rats in the provincial capital's largest hospital.

According to a report aired on Express News, Lahore's public-sector Mayo Hospital, with a capacity of almost 2400 beds, is infested with rats. The video aired by the channel shows rats strolling the wards of the hospital, with some even trying to operate the expensive medical equipment.

This is not the first time such an incident has been reported in Punjab. Back in 2012 there were gruesome cases of rats actually gorging on new babies in Rawalpindi Holy Family Hospital.
