ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – The Election Commission has said the personnel of Pakistan Army and Rangers will be deployed inside and outside the polling stations in the upcoming by-elections to ensure fair and transparency in the process.

An ECP statement on Thursday said the personnel of Army and Rangers will be deployed one day before the polling at every polling station to assist the polling staff to conduct the elections in a free, fair and transparent manner.

These personnel are likely to patrol the constituencies NA-144 Okara, NA-122 Lahore, PP-147 Lahore and PP-16 Attock before, on and after the bye elections till midnight following the compilation of results by the returning officers.
