ISLAMABAD (APP) – ARY News has paid Rs 100,000 fine imposed by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) for use of derogatory words and non-installation of time delaying mechanism.

It is worth a mention that PEMRA imposed the fine on the TV channel for use of derogatory language in its programmes “Khara Such,” “Eleventh Hour” and “Election Transmission”.

The PEMRA council of complaints had imposed the fine on ARY News on January 22 after listening to the viewpoint of the ARY representatives and watching the footage on January 16.

ARY has already apologised for use of indecent and derogatory language in its programmes.
