Balochistan budget 2016-17: 10% increase in salaries, laptops for outstanding students

QUETTA (Staff Report) - Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Zehri on Sunday presented a provincial budget of over 289 billion rupees for the fiscal year 2016-17.

Zehri announced a 10 percent increase in the salaries and pensions of provincial government employees on the pattern of federal government.

Earlier, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in his budget speech had announced a ten percent raise in the basic pay of federal government employees.

The Chief Minister further said that outstanding students would be provided laptops and for this purpose fifty million rupees had been allocated in the budget.
