VIDEO: Chaand Nawab is back in great form with a message for Shehbaz Sharif

KARACHI - A video clip of TV presenter Chand Nawab surfaced on social media has grabbed the attention of netizens once again in which he was recording his closing remarks on Shehbaz Sharif's recent statement on Karachi and pan. 

Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz chief Shehbaz Sharif had created controversy with his derogatory remarks regarding the residents of Karachi that went viral on social media.

Speaking during an election event in the port city, the former Punjab chief minister seemingly appeared to be mocking locals by correlating their Urdu accent with the habit of eating pan. “I will turn the pan-eating Karanchi into Lahore,” he was reported as saying by the media.

The remarks earned Sharif a swift rebuke from prominent politicians, social media activists and notables from the city of lights.

The veteran journalist and anchor from Karachi gained Internet stardom after a video of him speaking to the camera while being continuously interrupted by passers-by at a railway station had gone viral. Nawab’s fame was so widespread that Nawazuddin Siddiqui essayed his character in the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Nawab had added an element of hilarity while promoting actor Ali Zafar’s upcoming film in a way only he can. He was seen asking “Teefa kaun hai?” in the video, while people walk past in between him and the camera. He re-enacts his helplessness, guaranteeing to leave us laughing, again!
