CTD kills 3 militants of banned outfit in Gujrant

GUJRAT – The Counter Terrorism Department has claimed to have killed three terrorists of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban during an encounter in Gujrat, local media reported.

Following a tip-off regarding the presence of terrorists, the CTD officials late Wednesday raided an area along University Road near Nala Muradpur.

As security officials reached the location, the terrorists opened fire at the raiding party and in retaliatory firing three of the terrorists were killed, while three others successfully managed to escape.

According to CTD, a search operation is underway to trace the location of escaped terrorists.

During the raid, the officials also recovered a huge cache of explosive materials and weapons from their possession.
