Cyber Crime Bill's first victim: "Journalist" spreading fake news about donkey meat in Pulao

KARACHI (Web Desk) - The cyber crime circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Karachi seized a suspect for allegedly misusing the social media here on Wednesday.

According to details, Abdul Karim Dahri was arrested after he posted fake news regarding donkey meat being used in Sindhi pulao at Nawabshah.

“The accused is a teacher and also unofficially working as a journalist to blackmail people to extort money,”  the investigation officer added.

The officer maintained that the complainant approached the FIA, Karachi, stating that the accused blackmailed him of defaming his food joint and demanded money.

The FIA officials,using technical resources, traced and arrested Dahri. A case has been formally registered against the suspect.
