Deep grief covers Gujranwala after 3 brothers die on same day

GUJRANWALA - A blanket of grief covered Gujranwala as the city witnessed a tragic incident - the death of three brothers on the  same day.

The three brothers - Zahid Ali, Abbas Ali and Saddam Ali - died Friday night in Ilyas Colony, an area of the city. A brother, identified as 35-year-old Zahid Ali, a welder by profession, committed suicided by shooting himself and the other two, consequently, died of heart attack after hearing the news.

According to Saddar police, the reason behind Ali's suicide is yet to be known. He left behind a daughter.

Forty-year-old Abbasi Ali, the elder brother, suffered a heart attack when he came to hear the news. He died while being shifted to hospital.

The youngest brother, Saddam Ali, 28, also suffered a heart attack and died when bodies of his two brothers were brought home.
