QUETTA/DERA BUGTI – Pakistan’s victory against India came as people prepare for Eid after Ramazan. However, for many fans, the festival has already arrived.
The streets of Quetta, Dera Bugti, Sibi and Gwadar lit up with celebrations Sunday night after the Pakistani cricket team defied all odds to thrash rival India in the Champion’s Trophy final in London.
People poured into bazaars and markets to celebrate the win by blaring patriotic pop songs, as youths performed wheelies on motorcycles and waved flags as they dangled out of cars.
