FBR issues notice to 'Punjab’s Dabangg Lady'

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Federal Board of Revenue has issued notice to Punjab Food Authority Director Dr Ayesha Mumtaz for not filing her tax returns.

According to local media reports, Regional Tax Office-II issued notice to Dr Ayesha Mumtaz, also known as Dabbang Lady, as her failure in filing of the income tax returns between fiscal year 2011 and fiscal year 2014. According to sources, the department will impose a fine on her, if she fails to submit income returns.

She is current Director of Operations at Punjab Food Authority. Ayesha rose to fame after raiding various restaurants and hotels, without any discrimination on the basis of size, status and reputation of the business or its owner, to ensure the quality of food and hygiene.

The brave lady sealed many eateries while fined others for providing unhygienic food to consumers and other non compliant acts. Her work is being highly appreciated by government and especially by people of Punjab.
