Fire erupts at Hall Road's shopping plaza in Lahore

LAHORE -  Fire broke out at a shopping plaza located in the Lahore's biggest electronics and mobile phone market, Hall Road, on Saturday.

According to news reports, the fire erupted on the second floor of the centre after which firefighters and rescue teams reached the scene to extinguish it.

The rescue teams faced problems while putting out the fire due to narrow streets of the market; however, it was extinguished before it engulfed other parts of the building.

Hall Road is the Hub of Lahore's electronics, TVs, mobiles, computers etc. It is full of retailers, and wholesalers, and is an extremely busy area due to cheap and readily available electronic imports and unlicensed DVDs.
