Five killed in Karachi road accident

KARACHI - At least five people, including a minor girl and two woman, were killed after a collision between a trailer and a pickup in Karachi, local media reported.

The accident took place on ICICI flyover in Karachi late Tuesday. Four people died on the spot, while seven other sustained serious injuries.

The injured were shifted to a hospital where one of the injured succumbed to his wounds.

The driver of the trailer Tauseef fled soon after the incident, while truck cleaner Abdul Khaliq has been arrested.

The deceased and injured hailing from Gujranwala had come to Karachi to meet their relatives in Baldia Town.

A case of the incident has been registered in the police station.
