QUETTA: At least four paramilitary personnel were martyred when their vehicle came under attack in Quetta on Wednesday.

According to Frontier Corps (FC) Spokesman Khan Wasay, the motorcycle-bound attackers targeted a paramilitary patrol vehicle on the busy Double Road.

Two officers died on the spot while another two succumbed to their injuries in hospital, Wasay added.

Police officials said the assailants escaped on motorcycles after the attack.

The incident took place a day after four policemen were killed by unidentified gunmen in two separate incidents in the provincial capital.

Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Nawab Sanaullah Zehri condemned the attack and stated that the terrorists intended to spread fear among the public by carrying out such activities, further stating that all such attempts of the terrorists would be foiled.
