KHYBER AGENCY – Army Chief General Raheel Sharif inaugurated Shahid Afridi cricket stadium alongside former skipper Shahid Afridi in Khyber Agency here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Gen Raheel vowed to pledge his post-retirement life to the families of martyrs and expressed that he was saying goodbye to army and would hand over the responsibilities conferred upon him on November 29.

He expressed that Pakistan army was the strongest army in terms of fight against terrorism.

Army Chief also slammed Indian rhetoric of conducting a surgical strike inside Pakistan adding that Pakistan army could teach lesson to Indian troops.

He said that if Pakistan launched surgical strikes, India would remember for generations to come.

He said that army and tribal community eliminated the scourge of terrorism.

Meanwhile, Shahid Afridi lauded the military head for his services through a series of tweets.
