ISLAMABAD – Outgoing Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif paid a final farewell call on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the PM House here on Monday.

Gen Raheel thanked Premier for his continuous support during his stint as military head.

‘I appreciate your sincere thanks for your support and guidance’ said General Raheel.

“The prime minister praised General Raheel Sharif for his valuable services rendered as army chief and extended his best wishes for his post retirement life and happiness for his family,” a PM’s Office statement said on Monday.

Gen Raheel Sharif is completing his term on Tuesday. PM Nawaz has appointed General Qamar Bajwa as his successor.He would take charge of his office tomorrow as the 16th military head.
