PESHAWAR (Staff Report) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif Wednesday chaired a meeting of apex committee in Corps Headquarters Peshawar to review the law and order situation, said DG ISPR Lt-General Asim Saleem Bajwa.

Top military leadership, KPK Chief Minister Pervez Khatak, KPK Governor Sardar Mehtab Abbasi and civil bureaucrats attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the army chief was briefed about the ongoing military operation in tribal areas and targeted actions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

The meeting also reviewed the issues related to return of Temporarily Displaced People (TDPs) of tribal areas to their houses. The rehabilitation resettlement process of was pondered over in detail.

General Raheel Sharif said that TDPs will be facilitated back in their homes in a dignified manner to pay tribute to them for their matchless sacrifices.
