ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – The Federal Government has officially rejected the Oil and gas Regulatory Authority’s (OGRA’s) proposal to to increase the price of petroleum products in Pakistan.

According to media reports, petrol and high octane prices will remain unchanged for the month of June although the price of high-speed diesel will go up by Rs. 3.34 instead of the Rs.6.69 hike proposed by OGRA.

Likewise, light diesel prices will be increased by Rs. 2.23 instead of Rs. 4.47, Kerosene oil will undergo a hike of Rs. 1.98 instead of the Rs. 3.97 increase proposed by the regulatory authority.

The revised prices will take effect from tomorrow.
