ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday reserved judgment in a plea challenging the sentence awarded to former federal minister for religious affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi in a Hajj corruption case.
A single judge bench of Justice Mohsan Akhtar Kyani reserved the verdict when the counsels for the litigants completed their arguments.
The Special Court Judge, Malik Nazir Ahmad including two other high officials had awarded Hamid Saeed Kazmi six years imprisonment each on two counts.
The court had also imposed a fine of approximately Rs 147.4 million each. – APP
